Ingredients

Pasta and Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 package tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Once the beef is nicely cooked, toss in the minced garlic. Sauté for a minute until it’s fragrant, ensuring not to burn it.
  4. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes. Stir in the parmesan cheese until it melts into a creamy sauce.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce. Gently toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated in the sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Dish out your tortellini onto plates and sprinkle some chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey or a meat alternative. Add more parmesan for extra flavor or mozzarella for gooeyness. If the sauce looks lumpy, don’t worry; it adds charm to home cooking.
