Ingredients
  

For the Steak
  • 2 pieces Ribeye steaks (or your favorite cut) Choose your preferred cut for best taste.
  • Salt and pepper For seasoning to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the steaks.
For the Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen shrimp works.
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Adjust to taste for spice level.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For sautéing garlic and shrimp.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds great flavor.
  • ½ cup heavy cream Make sure it’s fresh for best results.
  • ¼ cup chicken broth Add more for desired consistency.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese For creaminess and flavor.
  • Fresh parsley For garnish, if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the steaks dry and season them generously with salt and pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
Cooking the Steaks
  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish. Adjust according to your preferred doneness.
  2. After cooking, let the steak rest on a plate covered loosely with aluminum foil.
Cajun Shrimp Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  2. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until shrimp turn pink, around 3-4 minutes.
Make It Creamy
  1. Reduce the heat to low, stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, scraping up any fond for extra flavor.
  2. Bring to a simmer and add the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing the mix to thicken slightly while stirring.
Plating
  1. Slice the rested steaks and ladle the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over them. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thinner sauce, add extra chicken broth. For more spice, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
