Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice adds a little zing
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for a touch of heat

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse your shrimp under cool water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Once the butter is bubbly, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute, stirring frequently.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  2. Drizzle the lemon juice over the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped parsley on top before serving.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp to keep them juicy. For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine after cooking the shrimp and let it reduce. Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
