Preparation
  1. Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Slice the onions thinly and set aside.
  3. Peel and cube the potatoes.
Cooking the Ribeye Steaks
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and butter.
  2. Once melted, add the ribeye steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.
Caramelizing the Onions
  1. In a separate frying pan, heat olive oil and add the sliced onions.
  2. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and sugar, and stir often, cooking for about 20-30 minutes until soft and caramelized.
Making Mashed Potatoes
