Ingredients
  

Pasta and Seafood
  • 8 ounces pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lump crab meat
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning or more to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Optional: a squeeze of lemon juice for a zesty finish

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
Sautéing
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Cooking the Seafood
  1. Toss in the shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they turn pink. Gently mix in the lump crab meat.
Making the Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and add Cajun seasoning. Stir and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Combining and Serving
  1. Add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss until everything is coated in the creamy sauce.
  2. Dish the pasta into bowls, garnish with fresh parsley, and add a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.

Notes

You can add spinach or other vegetables to the dish for a healthier option. Always taste as you go to adjust seasoning!
