Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the farfalle pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
- Reserve a cup of the pasta water before draining.
Making the Beef Mixture
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
Creating the Sauce
- Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir gently until combined.
- Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining Everything
- Add the cooked farfalle to the skillet and toss everything to combine.
- Serve and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
If sauce seems lumpy, stir well; lumps are bits of beef and garlic. You can add vegetables like spinach or peas for more nutrition.
